Mass Water Sprinker Curtain
When a Wildfire threatens your community!
Rapid Deployment of Mass Water Sprinkler Curtain
- Safeguard has developed a revolutionary way of stopping wildfires in North America through the development of massive high pressure, high volume pumps and sprinklers.
- Safeguard group of companies can now provide $1.5 billion in pumping equipment, creating multiple continuous water curtains in front of most wildfires.
- A single 1250 GPM sprinkler spraying up to 200 feet into the air and can cover an area 320 feet in Diameter. Each pumping unit of 16 Mass water sprinklers is capable of pumping out 20mm of rain in 24 hours and can be deployed to overlap as many lines as needed.
Mass Water Pumping System
- Each of our 10 Mass Water Pumping units is powered by 600+ Horse power, 12’ pumps, hoses and fittings.
- Each unit is capable of being rolled out in 4 hours in good access areas in order to supply water to 192 fire hoses.
- At the Cost of 1 medium Helicopter per day (less then $20,000) the MWPS can deliver 6.9 million gallons of water to the MWSC, manifolds, fires hose teams or mass water holding tanks.
Projects
- Safeguard specializes in mass water displacement focusing on the needs of our client working as a team to build, quickly deploy, and manage any sizable operation.
- Our team of experts through consultation will design and develop a customized process of systems to successfully complete the project.
- Many projects have a complexity of needs from pre-approval to completion, including:
- Permits and regulations for the project and area
- Safety management throughout the various phases
- Continuous water monitoring
- Engineered pumping plan
- Environmental parameters
- Risk management
- Operational management
- Backup Systems
Project Highlights
Recently completed a mass water pumping project involving many parameters and challenges to transfer water from two water sources into one.
Parameters:
- Meet or exceed Environment and client guidelines (many exceeded).
- Built and operated a complexity of 13 lines (two water sources) converging on a 42” line.
- System was built to move up to 2,600 L/s of water.
- All operational, financial, and environmental client needs were far exceeded.
- Developed a construction and environmental management plan (CEMP) and helped our client get their 3 year permit in record time.
- Engineered the largest, most complexed pumping system in Canada for our client.
- Exceeded all environmental requirements.
- No lost time incidents or serious accidents.
