S100 Fire Suppression
British Columbia S100 Forest Fire Suppression
In the North Peace, forest fires are easily ignited, and can spread very quickly. Safeguard Training teaches the BCFS S-100 Fire Suppression course. These courses are needed to be a Forest Fire Fighter for B.C. Forest Service. This class is 1/2 classroom 1/2 practical. More information about the S-100 course can be found here.
One person on every industry crew that works on a “timber sale” or “license to cut” (most crews working in or around the forests) needs to have this course as per B.C. Forest Service.
Cost:
$210 per person,
$85.00 – Refresher course
Time: 2 Days
Group bookings only, minimum 10 students to book, and maximum 25 per class

*S-100 and custom courses. You’ll need to provide a fire pump, 2 lengths of hose, and 2 nozzles. All students need boots, hard hat and gloves. Safeguard Training also teaches numerous other BCFS S100 & S200 level courses, as well as tailor-made courses targeted to industry.
