Safeguards Wildlife Awareness Training Program is designed to help you and your staff identify practical and proven strategies for helping to create a safe working environment in the Canadian wilderness. This training program is important to anyone required to work in the bush, even if only on a part- time basis.

Course Objectives:

Enhance Wildlife Awareness among workers
Encourage safe interaction between worker and wildlife
Educate workers on appropriate actions when under personal threat

Based on three key steps:

Identification: Successfully Identifying and understanding a variety of potential wildlife threats
Prevention: Learning how to avoid situations in which wildlife become a threat to personal safety
Response: Addressing active threats from wildlife, including de-escalating encounter in order to prevent further injury and save your life
